Go to your Koa dashboard and look for the LMS integration option in your settings. You will need your Canvas API token, which you can generate from your Canvas account settings under "Approved Integrations" or "Access Tokens". Paste the token into Koa and select your institution. Koa will then sync your courses, syllabi, and course materials automatically.
Koa uses a Bring Your Own Subscription (BYOS) model. To use AI features, you need to provide your own OpenAI API key. You can get one from platform.openai.com. Once you have your key, enter it in your Koa settings. After that, the AI tutor will be available in your notes and study sessions, with full context from your courses and materials.
To delete your account and all associated data, send an email to support@koa.university from the email address linked to your Koa account. Include "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line. We will process your request and confirm deletion within 48 hours. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
Koa supports PDF, DOCX, and PPTX file uploads. You can upload lecture slides, textbook chapters, assignment documents, and other study materials. The AI tutor can then reference these documents to give you more relevant and accurate study help.

Yes, Koa is completely free to use. The only cost is your OpenAI API usage, which you pay directly to OpenAI through your own account. Typical study usage costs just a few cents per session. Koa itself does not charge any fees.
